| For those of you who were wondering: NO, I AM NOT DEAD. I've just been extremely busy. I obviously don't update my xanga ever, but if you folks DO want to keep in touch with me, I have a Facebook; come find me! Much Love. | | |
| Sorry it's been almost a month since I updated...a lot has happened.
The weekend of January 27-29 I had snow camp at Timber Wolf. It was so much fun and I met so many amazing people! Oh, and Terrah landed on my head when we went tubing...
February 2 I saw BLAST! with Anna and Kel. We got such good seats, thanks to Anna's dad. During the show there was a really cute guy that played trombone and backup percussion that kept winking at me, but I thought it was just part of their act. After the show, when we mingled with the cast in the lobby, the trombonist waved me over. He said, "I saw you in the audience tonight. Your face was glowing and I couldn't take my eyes off of you the whole time I was on stage." We ended up talking for five minutes and Anna, Kel, and I got our playbills signed by all our favorite musicians.
February 4 was our school's Snow Ball. It was so much fun, but that was because of all the people I went with. We went out to eat at Papa Vino's, then headed to the dance. After the dance, we all headed over to Regan's house where we watched "Night at the Roxbury" and I ended up being there until a little after 2am.
For the Super Bowl, I went to three different parties. First I hung out at Terrah's house until Adam and Katlin got there, then we went to Kam's house so we could hang out with Betsy, then we left so we could rent "Boondock Saints" but the movie place didn't have it (so I bought three movies instead), then I went over to Regan's and hung out with him and Pat.
Thursday Regan and I saw Brian Regan at the Kalamazoo State Theatre!! He was amazing and hilarious!! ("Little Feather is feeling uncharacteristically melancholoy...")
This past Friday Regan asked me out, and I said yes. We've been friends for years, and have liked each other just as long, so this is a good step in our relationship.
This upcoming Thursday is the annual LHS Variety Show. YAY!! Then midwinter break starts on Friday.
Friday night is Worship night at church, and hopefully Regan will be going with me...
11 days until Great Wolf Lodge!!

| Saturday night Regan, Pat, Gary, Kyle (a.k.a. Sunshine), and Eric (a.k.a. Dick) came over and we hung around my house for a few hours. We watched "Boondock Saints," listened to Brian Regan, ate mucho food, made a few short movies, and contemplated various religions. Good times...
Sunday night Eric came to Lifeline with me and afterwards we went to IHOP.
Monday after school Lyndsay and I went to Chili's, then saw "Tristan & Isolde," and then went to Coldstone. The movie was amazing!
Yesterday was great: no school. I slept in until 9 and then finished reading Memoirs of a Geisha. I left for Regan's house around 6:30 so Regan, Pat, Mike (a.k.a. Paste), Gary, Alan, and I could study for our chemistry exam. We didn't do much studying, though...we played Apples to Apples (I won).
Today I only had one exam, and after that Regan, Pat, Alan, and I went to Keiser's for breakfast. I picked up Gary and my sister, then we all went bowling.
So far, a pretty good week.

| My name is Pride. I am a cheater.
I cheat you out of a God-given destiny...
because you demand your own way.
I cheat you out of contentment...
because you "deserve better than this."
I cheat you of knowledge...
because you already know it all.
I cheat you of healing...
because you're too full of me to forgive.
I cheat you of holiness...
because you refuse to admit when you're wrong.
I cheat you of vision...
because you'd rather look in the mirror than out a window.
I cheat you of genuine friendship...
because nobody's going to know the real you.
I cheat you of love...
because real romance demands sacrifice.
I cheat you of greatness in heaven...
because you refuse to wash another's feet on earth.
I cheat you of God's glory...
because I convince you to seek your own.
My name is Pride. I am a cheater.
You like me because you think I'm always looking out for you.
Untrue.
I'm looking to make a fool of you.
God has so much for you, I admit, but don't worry...
If you stick with me,
You'll never know.
Mark 4:19- The worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful.

| It's been so long since I updated and not too much has happened.
I worked about 20 hours each of the two weeks I had off from school, and this past week I worked in the photo lab. Tomorrow I'm going to The Bull's Horn Tavern to see if I can get a job there.
Christmas was pretty good. I got an iPod Video, clothes, picture frames, a photo album, some electronic stuff for my computer and my iPod, a coat I wanted, money, and a few other random things.
The Monday after Christmas we went to my Aunt Char's for Christmas on my mom's side. Kirsten and I ended up spending the night, and she threw up three times. The next day she was getting better while I was feeling worse; I threw up twice Tuesday night.
Wednesday I got a phone call from a number I didn't recognize. It ended up being Artem Zitzer. He was an exchange student from Germany last year, and we ended up becoming friends. He came back for two weeks to visit.
Thursday Ashleleigh and Lyndsay and I went ice skating and out to eat.
Friday Artem, Jordan and Eric Holmgren, and I went bowling. (Note to self: bowling, not my forte...)
New Year's Eve was pretty boring. I went with my parents to a party that we go to every year. The ball dropped, I went home, and went to sleep.
Over break I bought The Red Tent. It's a book based on Genesis 34 and its brief mention of Jacob's daughter Dinah, and it's AMAZING! I'd reccomend it to anyone, but guys probably wouldn't appreciate it as much.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week, and don't hesitate to give me a call!
Psalm 72:18-Praise be to the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds.
